NDMC, Taiwanese medical volunteers stayed at Graphis Health Center for 2 weeks from 24th July.
This is the second year for them to visit Graphis Health Center. It was wonderful moment to find many faces we met last year. Of course, it was also happy time to welcome new members. Dr. Jen and Dr. Michael, their teachers, who stayed with us last year also came back this year.
Graphis Health Center looks different for them after 1 year operation? It was immediately after starting operation when NDMC group visited GHC last year. We were in the middle of developing patient file, hospital registration system etc. and NDMC students contributed a lot to establish our system. Also at that time, hospital was full of patients (actually too many) for everyday!
This year, after providing day to day treatment and services, numbers of patients settle down to appropriate numbers. Unless if there is any emergencies or accidents, Graphis Health Center operates peacefully with some long term inpatients and some outpatients.
Graphis Health Center
now provide services with some high-tech machines such as blood analysis
machine and ultra sound machine. This seems also a surprise for NDMC
volunteers.
2 weeks just passed very quickly and NDMC volunteers went back Taiwan. We are looking forward to seeing them again in next year. And we hope at that time, they will witness more progress on Graphis Health Center.
